Today, the art and skill of management in organizations is moving towards changing into the art of "knowledge management"; and, leadership means providing suitable conditions and grounds in producing valuable knowledge via human force thought, and performing this task in a way that would encourage individuals in undertaking personal responsibility. The leadership factor plays a key role in successful implementation of knowledge management in enterprises and organizations; thus, in the present research, the authors have studied the relationship between knowledge management and leadership style as well as defining empowerment leadership style in knowledge management. The statistical population considered in this research consists of employees of Iran Export Credit Insurance Institute. The present research is applied in term of goal and description and correlation in terms of nature and methodology adoption. To study the relationship between variables, the regression analysis based on SPSS software, factorial analysis, modeling structural equations based on variance by using PLS software has been used. In line with research hypotheses, the correlation coefficients showed the positive and significant relationship between transformational and transactional leadership with knowledge management; and on Laissez-Faire leadership style, no significant relationship was confirmed between this variable and knowledge management variable. Ultimately, transactional leadership style was recognized as empowerment leadership style in knowledge management at this institute.https://www.jise.ir/article_63449_6f7ee86f475fd8286f8f44513600eca5.pdfIranian Institute of Industrial EngineeringJournal of Industrial and Systems Engineering1735-827211320180616Developing Goodson’s model for rapid performance assessment of emergency department233663708ENSeyedeh Gelareh EmamiSchool of Industrial Engineering, Iran University Of Science and Technology, Tehran, IranMohammad Saeedi MehrabadSchool of Industrial Engineering,Iran University of Science and Technology, Tehran, IranRouzbeh GhousiSchool of Industrial Engineering, Iran University of Science and Technology, Tehran, Iran0000-0002-5839-5792Journal Article20180428Over the past years, raising costs of health care in most countries cause to attract more attention to different aspects in the field. One of the best improvement methodologies known in literature is based on lean principles. The main aim of this methodology is to create values in the system by eliminating losses and creating continuous efforts toward improvement. Therefore, by measuring the performance of hospitals based on lean principles, and by identification of critical factors that function as obstacles to the execution of this approach and also by rating them, health centers can be led toward application of the principles of lean thinking.
This study has aimed to develop Goodson’s rapid performance assessment for health centers based on lean principles to measure their efficiency. Unlike other performance evaluation models, this model does not require abundant primary data and long time for survey. The proposed model helps managers to receive optimum feedback towards their performance in fastest possible time.

Despite the recent developments in lean hospitals, there is a long route to traverse in order to get close to the maturity stage of the leanness. We propose an approach in which the most important leanness criteria are determined and the leanness of a given hospital is measured using the ranking of leanness criteria. The uncertainty in the opinion of experts is modeled using fuzzy sets. Fuzzy Delphi method equipped with questionnaire analysis is used to investigate the main criteria affecting leanness in hospital. Fuzzy Multi-MOORA technique is used to rank main criteria affecting the leanness of a healthcare system. The result shows 25 factors that affect the leanness in the hospital which has high priority and low priority and managers of hospitals must pay attention and assign their limited resources to them. The origin of this paper uses structural method for finding customize factors and also applies a new method of MCDM in uncertainly environment by real world data.https://www.jise.ir/article_61899_bbf5e3a734a32daba18530c2db474922.pdfIranian Institute of Industrial EngineeringJournal of Industrial and Systems Engineering1735-827211320181017Coordination of promotional effort, corporate social responsibility and periodic review replenishment decisions in a two-echelon socially responsible supply chain608359809ENSeyyed-Mahdi Hosseini-MotlaghSchool of Industrial Engineering, Iran University of Science & Technology, Tehran, IranParvin PazariSchool of Industrial Engineering, Iran University of Science and Technology, Tehran, IranMina NouriSchool of Industrial Engineering, Iran University of Science and Technology, Tehran, IranJournal Article20171231In this paper, we explore the issue of coordination in a manufacturer-retailer supply chain where the manufacturer is socially responsible and invests in CSR activities. On the other hand, the retailer invests in promotional efforts and uses a periodic review order-up-to policy for replenishing items. First, the decentralized decision-making structure is modeled to calculate the minimum acceptable level for the members profit to accept coordination. Then, the centralized structure is formulated to obtain the benchmark solutions for the whole supply chain profitability. Afterwards, a cost-sharing (CS) contract is proposed to persuade the members to accept the centralized decision-making structure and to follow the benchmark solutions. The results of the sensitivity analyses demonstrated that the proposed coordination model is beneficial from three aspects, i. e. economic, environmental and social viewpoint, compared to the decentralized model. Furthermore, some outstanding managerial insights are provided which further illustrates the applicability of the proposed model.https://www.jise.ir/article_59809_be796ed4ad6237fcf1c605c2b5f360dc.pdfIranian Institute of Industrial EngineeringJournal of Industrial and Systems Engineering1735-827211320181018Project resource investment problem under progress payment model8410160777ENAmir Abbas Najafik.n.toosi universityElham MerrikhiResearch School of Management, Australian National University, Canberra, AustraliaAria ShahsavarFaculty of Industrial and Mechanical Engineering, Islamic Azad University, Qazvin Branch, Qazvin, IranJournal Article20171108As a general branch of project scheduling problems, resource investment problem (RIP) considers resource availabilities as decision variables to determine a level of employed resources minimizing the costs of the project. In addition to costs (cash outflows), researchers in the later extensions of the RIP took payments (cash inflows) received from clients into account and used the net present value (NPV) of project cash flows as a financial criterion evaluating the profitability of the project. A striking point in a financial view of the project scheduling is how cash inflows are paid by the client. There are different payment models in the literature of which progress payment is highly common in practice. In this paper, resource investment problem with maximization of the NPV under progress payment model is investigated. A new mathematical model is developed for the problem and then two metaheuristic algorithms based on the genetic algorithm (GA) and simulated annealing algorithm (SA) are suggested. The experimental results of algorithms are compared with some near-optimal solutions derived from LINGO software. The comparisons show that the results of GA are more reliable than SA.https://www.jise.ir/article_60777_6b142472e103f3b2067eed9a7878fc1c.pdfIranian Institute of Industrial EngineeringJournal of Industrial and Systems Engineering1735-827211320181021Multi-objective optimization of time-cost-quality-carbon dioxide emission-plan robustness in construction projects10212560778ENNahid FarazmandIndustrial Engineering Department, Semnan University, Semnan, IranMohammadali BeheshtiniaIndustrial Engineering Department, Semnan University, Semnan, IranJournal Article20180201Today, the construction industry is facing intense competition and success in this competition depends on several factors. Project managers try to minimize project time and cost, carbon dioxide emission and at the same time maximizing the quality of project and its plan robustness. In this paper, study construction project scheduling considering a discrete trade-off between time, cost, quality, carbon dioxide emission and the plan robustness. After presenting the mathematical model of the problem, a genetic algorithm inspired from the role model concept in sociology named Reference Group Genetic Algorithm (RGGA) is used to solve the problem. The “reference group” concept is introduced by a sociologist named Robert K. Merton. He believed that some people in each society such as heroes or entertainment artists affect other people. To evaluate the impact of “reference group” concept in genetic algorithm, RRGA is compared with a similar genetic algorithm that do not use this concept. The originality of this paper is introducing a new multi-objective project scheduling problem, presenting its mathematical model and adapting RGGA to solve it. The computational experiments show that using this concept improves the result. https://www.jise.ir/article_60778_29ca062e3ed5a8e4186d4cbe7535e81d.pdfIranian Institute of Industrial EngineeringJournal of Industrial and Systems Engineering1735-827211320181022Considering different kinds of vehicles in a hierarchical hub location model12614568742ENSara Sadat TorkestaniSchool of Industrial Engineering, Iran University of Science and Technology, Tehran, IranFiroozeh KavehSchool of Industrial Engineering, College of Engineering, University of Tehran, Tehran, IranAli Bozorgi-AmiriSchool of Industrial Engineering,

The first layer includes small hubs and the second one includes a star-shaped network central hub. The considered case is a cargo delivery network where there is hierarchy between hubs. All the hubs and links are capacitated and there are three kinds of commodities for each of which there is a special kind of vehicle. The purpose is to determine the optimal cost by locating small hubs (city hubs) and the central hub, allocation of links to the hubs, and finding the optimal number of vehicles for each hub. The model is a mixed integer nonlinear programming. This relationship is called a profile. Parametric models, such as linear models, may be used to model profiles. However, in practical applications due to the complexity of many processes it is not usually possible to model a process using parametric models. In these cases, non-parametric methods are used to model the processes. One important and applicable non- parametric method used to model complicated profiles is wavelet transformation. Use of wavelet transformation requires estimation of the in control profile in phase I. Classical estimators are usually used in phase I to estimate the in control profile, using wavelet transformation. However, the presence of outliers in data in phase I may affects classical estimators. In this research a robust estimator of the in control profile based on clustering is proposed which is insensitive to the presence of outliers. As well as estimating the in control profile in phase I it is of interest to determine the change point of the process in phase II. In this work a procedure for estimating the change point of complicated profiles in phase II is also introduced. This suggested method does not require normality assumption of the error terms. Aggregation of the proposed robust estimator with the change point detection method results a procedure for detecting the change point. Simulation studies show that the proposed method is robust in presence of outliers compare to the classical methods of profile monitoring and change point detection.https://www.jise.ir/article_68744_0e05fb7f1c75ea5418ccc4d90cdf57a4.pdfIranian Institute of Industrial EngineeringJournal of Industrial and Systems Engineering1735-827211320181109Bi-objective optimization of a blood supply chain network with reliability of blood centers19021368745ENHassan HeidariDepartment of Industrial Engineering,

Project scheduling with limited resources is one of the most famous problems in the research operations and optimization cases. The resource-constraint project scheduling problem (RCPSP) is a NP-hard problem in which the activities of a project must be scheduled to reduce the project duration. Therefore, subcontractors of the construction projects join together to decrease the project time and finally increase the project profit. This is an incentive for the subcontractors to form coalitions. This study presents a model based on the resource leveling problem. Results of the proposed model show that the subcontractors can earn more profit by the cooperation rather than working individually. Moreover, it is demonstrated that techniques such as the Shapley Value, Max-Min Core, and Equal Profit Method are able to fairly allocate extra profit of the cooperation among the subcontractors.https://www.jise.ir/article_68747_904fbee80a5f3058b59989db2a23bd81.pdfIranian Institute of Industrial EngineeringJournal of Industrial and Systems Engineering1735-827211320181114An extended intuitionistic fuzzy modified group complex proportional assessment approach22924668757ENHossein GitinavardDepartment of Industrial Engineering and Management Systems, Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, IranMohsen Akbarpour ShiraziDepartment of Industrial Engineering and Management Systems, Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, IranJournal Article20180308Complex proportional assessment (COPRAS) methodology is one of the well-known multiple criteria group decision-making (MCGDM) frameworks that can focus on proportional and direct dependences of the significance and utility degree of candidates under the presence of mutually conflicting criteria in real-worldcases. The proposed system uses the analytic network process (ANP) as an effective multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) method and its fuzzy mode to respond to uncertainties in judgements. This system also needs a targeted and systematic criteria set which is collected through comprehensive literature studies and experiences of faculty members. The performance of e-learning centers can then be systemically measured and managed by finding the relationship between these criteria, comparing the pairwise of criteria together and gaining their importance under uncertainty. In this paper, eight main criteria and twenty-five sub criteria is identified by a comprehensive survey on a statistical community consist of faculty members, staff and students of e-learning centers. Based on the results, the criteria for measuring university performance are mainly "student, teacher, educational content, communication, research, scheduling, continuous improvement and infrastructure." From the results of the final weights obtained, the "master's attitude toward the course" is most important in measuring performance. The sub-criterion of "attracting student participation by the master" has the next important place as well. Classic DEA models usually suffer from several issues such as: discrimination power, variable weights of inputs/outputs, inaccurate efficiency estimation for small number of DMUs, incapability in working with zero and negative data, and not having exterior target. Ranking methods in DEA have been proposed to resolve such issues. In this paperan approach is proposed to overcome all of theseissues, concurrently. This approach has five main properties: 1) using common weight methodology to reduce the chance of inefficient DMUs to be evaluated as efficient; 2) defining virtual ideal and anti-ideal DMUs in a unique modelconcurrently to improve the discrimination power and to make exterior target based on observed DMUs; 3) providing full ranking for even production possibility sets (PPS) with low number of DMUs; 4) handling forzero and non-positive data; 5) Ranking all DMUs in a single run which reduces the computational efforts effectively. The properties of the model of this study including convexity, feasibility, and optimality are discussed through several theorems. The validity of the model is illustrated through solving five benchmark numerical examples adopted from the literature of past works. The results of the model are compared with those of existing methods.
